The Colorado High School State Climbing Championship will be held on Saturday, February 28th, 2026 at G1 Climbing + Fitness in Broomfield, CO.

Only qualified climbers may register and compete.

  • Regional Varsity and JV allocations will not be set until the final regular season comp in the state has concluded.
  • In-Region rankings may change dramatically until the Regional Championship has concluded.
  • Minor changes to in-Region rankings may occur in the week(s) leading up to the State Championship.
  • Check back periodically if you are one of the next climbers on the list to qualify as unfilled spots will be rolled down to the next highest qualifier.

Registration/Payment

The cost of the event is $65. If you have qualified for the Varsity or JV wave of the State Competition, REGISTER & PAY HERE (make sure to choose the proper wave when registering)

Waiver

All participants and spectators will need a valid waiver on file (even if they are not climbing).

Belay Certification

  • All belayers must be belay certified in order to belay on top rope or lead. We cannot accept certification from other gyms.
  • All lead climbers must pass a climbing test in order to lead climb in our gym.
  • We highly recommend visiting the gym before comp day to take our test for free. We will be testing day-of, but athletes should expect a long wait which will run into their time to compete.
  • We require all belayers to use assisted braking devices, we do not allow ATCsWe have devices to available for rent, but stock is limited and given out on a first come-first serve basis.

The Tennessee High School and Middle School State Climbing Championship will be held on Saturday, February 21st, 2026 at The Crag – Nashville. 

Qualification

Only qualified climbers may register and compete. Climbers must have competed in three regular season comps and their Regional Championship comp to compete at the State Championship.
