The 2020-2021 State Championship Competition will be held in Eagle, Colorado at Eagle Climbing and Fitness over the weekend of Saturday May 1st, 2021 and Sunday May 2nd, 2021.
COVID Restrictions
UPDATE (4/22/2021)
Qualified climbers, certified coaches AND one spectator* per qualified climber will be allowed in the climbing gym during the competition. Spectators may only view from designated areas and may not be on the competition floor at any time. Spectators, coaches & climbers must have a waiver on file. Please complete the online waiver before coming to the gym. (if you have ever completed a waiver at Eagle Climbing you do not need to complete a new one)
*Multiple spectators per qualified climber may rotate in and out of the gym, but only one spectator for each qualified climber may be in the gym at any given time. A check-in/check-out system will be in place to ensure compliance.
Saturday Schedule
(All climbers must arrive 30 minutes before their wave start time. Any climber needing a belay test must arrive 60 minutes before their wave start time. Climbers who have already passed a belay test at Eagle will not need to be tested again.)
Wave 1
7:30am – 10:30am… Climbers from Colorado Rocky Mountain School
Wave 2
10:45am – 1:45pm… Climbers from Arapahoe, Denver South, Kent Denver, Mountain Vista
Wave 3
2:00pm – 5:00pm… All SOCO Climbers
Wave 4
5:15pm – 8:15pm… All DenNW Climbers
Sunday Schedule

8:00am – 11:00am… Climbers from Aspen, Basalt, Battle Mountain, Eagle Valley, Roaring Fork, Vail Mountain School
Wave 6
11:30am – 2:30pm… Climbers from Cherry Creek, Eaglecrest, Grandview, Northfield, Rock Canyon
Wave 7
3:00 – 6:00pm… Climbers from Delta, Gunnison, Montrose, Ridgway
Belay Testing
All climbers and coaches must use Assisted Braking Devices (ABD) at Eagle Climbing + Fitness.
Anyone who has has passed a tope rope or lead belay test at Eagle Climbing + Fitness in the past using an ABD will not need to retest. Any climber requiring a belay test using an ABD may come to the gym prior to the State competition weekend, or must arrive 60 minutes prior to their wave start time to be tested.

For breakfast and coffee Stout House offers fast and easy options and is located across the street from the gym. We will have Boneyard grilling up veggie burgers, beef burgers, salad, brats, and hot dogs in our parking lot and we will have outdoor seating options for delicious and convenient lunch options starting around 11am. All competitors will also receive a coupon for a free appetizer (excluding wings) to redeem at Boneyard’s restaurant during the weekend.
