The Colorado High School State Climbing Championship will be held on Saturday, February 22nd, 2025 at Gripstone Climbing & Fitness in Colorado Springs.
Th Southern Colorado Region is proud to host the American Scholastic Climbing League 2025 State Championship! We hope that you have a great trip to the Pikes Peak Region in addition to having a successful competition. The
Pikes Peak Region is also a wonderful area to visit with a thriving downtown, great restaurants, museums, local trail systems, and Open Spaces. Manitou Springs, Pikes Peak Summit, Garden of the Gods are also wonderful places
to explore.
CO State Qualification Process
Only qualified climbers may register and compete. Rankings for qualification will change dramatically until all Regional Championships have concluded. Minor changes may occur in the week leading up to the State Championship.
Check back periodically if you are one of the next climbers on the list to qualify as unfilled spots will be rolled down to the next highest qualifier.

Wave 1 – JV
7:30am to 8:30am – Check In
8:30am to 12:30pm – Competition
~12:50pm – Awards
Wave 2 – Varsity Boys
12:30pm to 1:30pm – Check In
1:30pm to 4:30pm – Competition
~4:50pm – Awards
Wave 3 – Varsity Girls
4:30pm to 5:30pm – Check In
5:30pm to 8:30pm – Competition
~8:50pm – Awards
The cost of the event is still TBD. Please check back as the State Championship gets closer or payment and registration details.
All climbers and spectators will need to complete an
ONLINE WAIVER.
Gripstone will honor other gym’s belay certifications to be able to top rope belay, lead climb and lead belay. All lead belaying must be done with an acceptable device listed
here. Gripstone staff will be monitoring the competition and they have will have full authority to stop someone from belaying if an unsafe situation comes up.
There are many different food options right next door to Gripstone including the Skirted Heifer, Chick-Fil-A, Urban Egg and Birdcall.
