2021-2022 Season Comp Info
Specific comp details will be posted here and on the calendar on the Events Page as they become available. Prior to competing, climbers must complete all season requirements which can be found on the My Account page in each climber’s online account.

| DenSE #1 11/20/21 (Bouldering) | Gym: Denver Bouldering Club North (Thornton) Wave 1: All DenNW Region Schools – Check in 12:30pm, Climber’s Meeting 12:45pm, Comp 1pm-3pm Wave 2: Schools from Cherry Creek School District and Denver Public Schools School District – Check in 2:30pm, Climber’s Meeting 2:45pm, Comp 3pm-5pm Wave 3: Schools from Douglas County School District, Littleton Public Schools District, and all other DenSE Region Schools – Check in 4:30pm, Climber’s Meeting 4:45pm, Comp 5pm-7pm Cost: $25 for non-members, $15 for members Online Registration: Waivers and payment should be completed in advance online. Please read this document completely to accurately complete the waiver, understand how to submit waivers for multiple climbers in your family (if applicable), and pay for the comp. | DenSE #2 12/12/21 (Bouldering) | Gym: The Spot Denver Wave 1- All Denver Northwest Region Schools (aka DenNW) and Denver South HS Check In: 8:00 Climber’s Meeting 8:20 Comp: 8:30- 11:30 Wave 2- All Denver Southeast Region Schools (ak DenSE)… except Denver South HS Check In: 11:30 Climber’s Meeting 11:40 Comp: 12:00- 3:00pm Cost: $25 in advance, $30 at the door Online Registration: Please register online here to ease traffic at the door and save $5! Waiver: Waivers must be signed by the climber AND by a legal guardian and can be done in advance here |
| DenSE #3 12/13/21-12/19/21 (Mixed) | Gym: Movement Baker Time: Comp opens at 9am Monday December 13th and closes at 5pm Sunday December 19th. Please do not plan on climbing during peak hours (6pm to 8pm M-F). Cost: Non-members will pay for a day pass upon arrival at the gym ($24). Bring your student ID if arriving prior to 5pm M-F and pay the student rate ($19). Restrictions: No competition climbing between peak hours of 6pm to 8pm on weekdays. Waiver: Waivers must be signed by the climber AND by a legal guardian and can be done in advance here. Climbers who are members of other Movement gyms do not need to complete this waiver. Additional Information: Climbers may climb for up to 3 hours in a single & continuous block. A maximum of 5 climbs will be scored (2 ropes, 2 boulders, next best of either type) and must be submitted to the electronic scoring system within one hour of completion along with a photo of the scorecard. |

| DenSE #6 2/5/22 (Mixed) | Gym: Ubergrippen – Denver At present, each wave is restricted to 40 climbers… please register early to ensure a spot… Wave 1 (MVHS, EHS, GHS) Check in 10:30am Comp 11:00am – 1:30pm Wave 2 (Denver South, East, TRHS, RCHS, AHS, GW, Denver School of Arts) Check in 1:30pm Comp 2:00pm – 4:30pm Wave 3 (CCHS, Kent, Northfield) Check in 4:30pm Comp 5:00pm – 7:30pm Cost: $35 REGISTER HERE… please register online even up until the day of the comp instead of registering in-person to keep the check-in lines short Restrictions: NO DAY-OF belay tests!!!!! Climbers must come in ahead of time to Ubergrippen Castle Rock or Ubergrippen Denver to belay test for event. Climbers must be certified to belay, and belay while in the gym, using an ABD (Assisted Braking Device… examples include the GriGri, Mega Jul, etc…). Please come with your own ABD if possible as rental equipment will be limited. If planning on coming in a large group to be belay tested (10 or more climbers), please provide 2 weeks notice by emailing sarah@ugclimbing.com to coordinate belay tests. NO SPECTATORS PLEASE Waiver: All members, guests, and even non-climbing observers to are required to review and sign our waiver agreement. Any climber who wishes to be lead climb certified must complete the Lead Climbing Agreement. Both the Lead Climbing Agreement and Waiver must be completed by a parent/legal guardian if the climber is 17 or under. |
| DenSE Regional Comp 2/13/22 (Mixed) | Gym: Movement Englewood Time: Arrive & Check-in 6:15pm, Climbers Meeting 6:45pm, Comp 6:45pm to 9:30pm, Awards 9:45pm Cost: Early registration (Feb 1-9) $25, Late registration (Feb 10-12) $30… NO day-of registration or belay tests Registration: CLIMBERS AND SPECTATORS MUST PRE-REGISTER (although only climbers pay the fee). No day-of registration, must pre-register by Saturday Feb 12… CLICK HERE TO REGISTER Waiver: Waivers must be signed by the climber AND by a legal guardian and can be done in advance here. Spectators must also sign a waiver (If a waiver is on file from the Movement Baker comp on 12/4 or Movement RiNo comp on 1/8 it is not necessary to complete a new waiver for Earth Treks). EVERY STUDENT AND PARENT/GUARDIAN WHO SIGNED A WAIVER MUST SHOW AN ID AT THE DOOR. IF A STUDENT IS NOT WITH A PARENT/GUARDIAN THEY MUST SHOW A PIC OF THE PARENT/GUARDIAN ID TO BE ADMITTED. Additional Information: Belay tests completed at Movement Baker are good at Movement Englewood. Belay tests must be completed no later than Feb 12th (no day-of testing).
