Additional Information: WEATHER UPDATE 11/9 (9:45am)—DBC South is open and the comp is still on if you feel you can arrive safely. Remember, you only need 3 regular-season comps to qualify for Regionals, so there are many opportunities. DRIVE SAFE!! Please plan to register and pay at the door when you check-in. Complete a waiver online in advance. Make sure the waiver is for DBC South. All spectators also need to have a waiver on file. Wave 1 competitor’s meeting will be in the main gym space. Wave 2 competitor’s meeting will be in the side gym.

Additional Information: No belay testing on the day of the competition. All top rope and lead belay testing must be done in advance at any Movement location. All spectators (family and friends who are not climbing) must fill out a waiver online beforehand to expedite the check-in process. The gym closes at 8:00 pm to all athletes and spectators.

Participants under 18 years old must have their waiver signed by their PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN ONLY. No substitutes of the parent signature on the waiver are accepted. The waiver is available online at www.ugclimbing.com/waiver Belay and Lead Climbing Test: All participants & coaches who want to belay are required to take and pass our belay test. Belayers and lead climbers are encouraged to come in prior to the competition to take the belay test. Availability of belay tests on the day of the competition are not guaranteed, and will cost $5. Lead tests must be done with a partner. Belayers under 14 years old: MUST take and pass three belay tests on three separate days to become fully belay certified in our facility. Belayers who pass a belay test on the day of the competition will be provisionally passed for the day and allowed to belay their peers with a belay-certified individual providing a backup belay. They will not be fully certified until they pass the rest of their tests. All lead belayers and climbers must fill out this Lead Policy Agreement and arrive with a partner to take your test. Assisted-Braking Belay Devices: Particiants must use an assisted-braking belay device including Petzl GriGri, Edelrid Jul, Mammut Smart, BD Pilot, Trango Vergo or Cinch. Tube style belay devices (ATC) are not allowed at ÜG. Please bring your own devices as there may not be any avaialble the day of the competition.
