Participation in the American Scholastic Climbing League (“ASCL”) may involve photography or video recording.
Use of Photographs/Video Recordings:
The ASCL and affiliates of the ASCL may use photographs and/or video recordings of participants at ASCL events for promotional, educational, and informational purposes. These images and recordings may be used in various publications, websites, social media, and promotional materials associated with the ASCL. These may include, but are not limited to: brochures, flyers, posters, newsletters, and online platforms.
No Compensation:
Participants will not receive any compensation for the use of these photographs and/or video recordings.
Identity Protection:
Efforts will be made to protect the identity and privacy of participants, and participants will not be identified publicly by name without consent.
Opt Out Method:
A parent/legal guardian of a participant under 18 years of age, or an adult aged participant may opt out of having their photographs and/or video recordings being used as described above by sending an email to opt-out@climbtheleague.org indicating a desire to opt out of photo and/or video recording usage. The email must include:
- First & last name of participant to opt out
- Team of participant to opt out
- Picture or detailed description of participant to opt out
