State Championship Comp (2022-2023)

The 2022-2023 State Championship Competition will be held in Broomfield, Colorado at G1 Climbing on Saturday February 25th.

You must qualify for this event. Use the links below to confirm that you have qualified prior to registering for the competition.

Western Slope… Boys | Girls

If you do qualify but cannot make your designated wave time, please let your Regional Director know as soon as possible so we offer your spot to the next eligible climber. There will not be any accommodations for individual scheduling conflicts.

Saturday Schedule

Wave 1 – JV
7:30am to 8:30am – Check In
8:30am to 11:30am – Competition
~11:50am – Awards

Wave 2 – Varsity Boys
11:30am to 12:30pm – Check In
12:30pm to 3:30pm – Competition
~3:50pm – Awards

Wave 3 – Varsity Girls
3:30pm to 4:30pm – Check In
4:30pm to 7:30pm – Competition
~7:50pm – Awards

Belay Testing

If you have not been belay tested at G1 and are arriving on Friday, please come to the gym to get belay tested in advance of the comp. Belay testing will also be offered during the comp for those arriving on comp day. Please come well in advance of your wave start time if you require belay testing. Local climbers are encouraged to come to the gym during the week leading up to the comp to complete belay testing.

*Assisted Braking Devices only, no ATCs are allowed for top rope or lead belaying… Please bring your own device*

If you have a lead rope at least 40m long, please bring to free up G1’s ropes for others.

Registration & Payent

The cost of the comp is $50. Only climbers who have qualified for a Varsity or JV position at State may register and compete.

Parking

There will be on-site parking and additional street parking. Please note any NO PARKING signs for areas that are off limits and do not park at 4Noses Brewing
